FAQ's
Are there replacement parts available for the Cutterpede® ?
Yes. Replacement Blade Shuttles and Cutting Channel Mats are offered at many local scrapbook and craft stores, as well as some online retailers. We also now have perforating and scoring blade shuttles as well.

How do I assemble and replace the blade shuttles on my Cutterpede® trimmer?
To assemble the Cutterpede® , simply release lock at base and slide Blade Shuttle onto channel with the brass knob and blade at left side. (The white "Belly" of the shuttle fits around the clear track that runs from all along the lift-up cutting arm.) Flip lock back into secure position. You can check to make sure the shuttle is correctly installed by turning tool upside down; shuttle should remain in channel.

I'm not having success cutting with my Cutterpede® . Any suggestions?
Here are some helpful hints to a perfect cut:
  • Place the Cutterpede® Trimmer on a non-slip surface to eliminate shifting.
  • Make sure that the cutting arm is magnetically secure before cutting.
  • Push the Blade Cartridge down while cutting to ensure clean cut through paper.
  • When moving the extend-a-ruler, it is best to hold it above the "elbow" joint, taking care around the joint rather than stressing it further.
  • For best results, always start with the shuttle at the top, then push down and pull toward self. The blade aligns itself along the side of the lift-up cutting arm.
  • Always cut in the same direction for best results. If you are cutting through very thick stock and require two passes, return blade shuttle to starting position before making second pass.

When do I need to change the Cutterpede® channel mat?
When the Cutterpede® channel area is worn on the cutting mat, gently pull it out and turn it around -- or flip it over entirely to 2 new surfaces and reposition in place. There are actually four cutting positions on each channel mat.
